Soft Gels

Integrate your nutrients in soft gels

Soft capsules, often also known as softgels, are easy to take and are particularly suitable when liquid or oily ingredients (such as omega-3 fatty acids) are to be offered in a solid dosage form. They are traditionally made from animal gelatine, but can also be produced in a vegan version.
Soft capsules therefore offer you an effective way of integrating your nutrients into your customers' everyday lives.

Omega 3 in soft capsules

Omega-3 fatty acids are unsaturated fatty acids that cannot be produced by the human body. The omega-3 fatty acids frequently used in food supplements are EPA and DHA, which are usually obtained from fish. As fish absorb omega-3 fatty acids from algae, it is now also possible to produce vegan omega-3 variants from algae. We will be happy to advise you on a suitable ratio of EPA and DHA for you!
Another plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids is ALA. ALA is an α-linolenic acid that is found in plant oils, such as linseed oil, and is processed into EPA and DHA by enzymes in the body.
At Biohealth, we can offer you all of these variants. Contact us to receive a personalised offer.

Plant substances & vitamins in soft capsules

In addition to omega-3 softgels, it is also possible to pack plant substances and vitamins in a soft capsule. Softgels offer you the opportunity to utilise the power of nature in concentrated form - whether to support the immune system, aid digestion or for any other requirement your customers may have.
Our team will be happy to provide you with personalised advice on your needs.
